About a month and a half ago, I bought WoW.

First, lets do some background. I've played guildwars since the open alpha, I started out biased. I love guildwars. It pwns everything.

For the THIRD week in a row, I can't log into WoW. The servers are down...AGAIN. I PAY for this crap (ridiculous, I know).

So blizzard decides to...give us a virtual dressing room so we know what our characters look like with various pieces of armor!

wtf?

FIX THE DAMNED SERVERS.

There are all kinds of threads about "ohh, you have no idea how hard it is to keep a server up."

BITE ME.

guildwars keeps all of its servers up all the time with no trouble, no hassle, and the one time they went down, I seem to recall they were down for about 15 minutes.

So gimme a HOOWAH all you Guild Wars freaks, you guys ROCK.

Never let the people paying to play WoW forget how much their customer service BLOWS!

Blizz, I hope each and every one of you gets at least 5 papercuts a day for the rest of your life.

I was totally done with MMORPG type games after giving everquest 2 the benefit of the doubt and being completely disappointed by them.

I was done playing.

Then i found guildwars and i can tell you ... i never need another game

Everything that bugged me in games like Anarchy online, Everquest, Shadowbane, Star Wars glaxies etc etc ... they solved in this game.

And yes ... as you said ... the one time they brought down the servers only a part of the player base would be shut out at a time for a very short time.

Oh ... and not having to pay a monthly fee ..... i bought THREE copies of the game. Being a PVE packrat i need the extra characters and storage space ;-)

im totaly done with FPS , i use to be a hotshot , completely addicted , doom , quake , unreal , battle field , half life , etc

one day a friend of mine told me he was mad with the SWG mods cose they took his Jedy from him , so he was trying out other mmorpgs ... and he found GW world preview and told me about it.

i dont think he knew what could and did hapand ... i got completely addicted.
